Decatur FFA does well at fair

— Decatur FFA had a very successful Arkansas State Fair, with four students from the Decatur School District attending the Arkansas State Fair: Alisun Watson, Wyatt Bingham, and Lacy Barrett and Paige Barrett.

Alisun Watson entered sheep and rabbits in the Arkansas State Fair and won Grand Champion Open Cotswold Ram, Arkansas Champion Open Cotswold Ram, Reserve Champion Open Cotswold Ewe, Grand Champion Junior AOB Wool Ram, Reserve Champion Junior AOB Wool Ewe, and Premier Exhibitor Junior AOB Wool. Alisun also won many awards with her rabbits, including Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Best of Variety, Best of Group, and Junior Showmanship Champion. Alisun earned Purple Circles for her sheep and rabbits.

Wyatt Bingham showed a market hog that was 24th overall market hog of the Arkansas State Fair, which included a $500 scholarship. Wyatt was also 5th in his showmanship class. Wyatt showed dairy goats and had the Grand Champion Nubian Doe and Reserve Champion Sanaan Doe. He earned a Purple Circle for his Grand Champion Nubian Doe.

Lacy Barrett showed hogs at the Arkansas State Fair. Lacy won her showmanship class and went on to win the Champion Senior Showmanship, which included Lacy receiving a $500 scholarship. She also had the 20th best hog in the Arkansas State Fair Market Hog Show, which included a $750 scholarship.

Lacy received a Purple Circle for her Champion Senior Showmanship.

Paige Barrett, who is a member of the Maysville 4-H Club, was second in her showmanship class. She also had ninth in Division 4 Market Hog and seventh in Division 6 Market Hog.
