New scout troop holds drive

GENTRY — Gentry Girl Scouts are holding a toy and canned food drive until Dec. 11th to benefi t those in need over the holiday season.

Food will be given to a local food pantry for distribution in Gentry. Toys will be sent to the Girl Scout Council and distributed to those who need them.

Food and toys may be dropped off for the Girl Scout project at the following Gentry businesses: Rogers Garage, Gentry Library, HairBenders, Arvest Bank, Pioneer Pizza (although they’ll be closed Thanksgiving week), ABC, The Chicken Coop. Each Girl Scout is responsible for her box, and the troop has a goal of 150 cans.
