GRAVETTE - The food pantry in Gravette, which has been located at 303 Third Ave. S.W., has moved and changed its name. Formerly known as “Feed My Sheep,” the pantry is now known as “Share the Harvest Food Pantry” and is located within the Harvest Baptist Church, two miles south of Gravette at 11036 N. Hwy. 59.

The food pantry willstill be serving the same clientele and at the same time, each Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. If you have questions and need information, contact church pastor Deryl King at 721-1650.

“‘Feed My Sheep’ food pantry has been serving families in Northwest Arkansas for fi ve years,” King said. “It has been run through private donations and under the oversight of the First Christian Church of Gravette. Recently the pantry has had some shortfalls when it came to the volunteer workforce and funding. Harvest Baptist Church was approached by the volunteers who work at the pantry, suggesting ways that this ministry could continue to feed 400-plus people every month,” King added.

Harvest Baptist Churchassumed oversight of the ministry at the beginning of October. The pantry has moved to the church building (the old A&D building south of Gravette on Highway 59). Using most of the same volunteer workforce and serving the same client base, the goal of Harvest’s administration is to expand on the already generous vision of this ministry.
