FATALITY ACCIDENT

Kenneth L. Jarvis, 60, of Southwest City, Mo., was killed early Oct. 17 when his pickup hit a cow laying in the roadway on Highway 43, two miles north of Southwest City, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol reported that Jarvis was southbound when his Chevrolet Silverado 2500 struck a cow that was laying in the road that had been hit previously by another vehicle. The report stated that after Jarvis hit the cow, his truck left the road and struck a fence, ejecting Jarvis.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:07 a.m. by McDonald County Coroner, B.J. Goodwin.

No one else was listed as being injured in the wreck.
