Thursday is Halloween. If you are out driving around, be sure to look out for the little goblins. Keep them safe.

Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday, Nov. 3. Fall back one hour.

Sympathy is extended to the Augustine family for their loss. The Augustine family and I were neighbors when we both lived on the western edge of Hiwasse.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Stella Orten for their loss. I remember working with Stella at the Gravette Hospital.

Larry Henry from Wichita, Kans., visited with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Henry, on Sunday.

Those having lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier on Sunday were Ward, Paula, Gabe and myself.

We still have a lot of sick ones in our area. Remember to keep them in your prayers.

A good crowd enjoyed the Fall Festival at the Hiwasse First Baptist Church on Saturday evening. I’m sorry it was too cold for me to open my door and enjoy their music.

Oct. 30, 1945, wartime shoe rationing in the United States came to an end.
