Flood damage keeps some amenities closed

Several Bella Vista Village amenities remain closed one month after a fl ood devastated the area.

Bella Vista Village staff continues to make repairsand clean hard-hit areas, as well as gather cost estimates for larger repair projects, the Property Owners Association announced Thursday.

Many of the village’s amenities were severely damaged during the Aug.

8 storms that fl ooded the community.

General Manager Tommy Bailey reported last month that he expected repairs to tally more than $1 million.

Village amenities thatwill remain closed until further notice include:

◊The RV Park at Blowing Springs. No reservations will be taken while damage and safety issues are being addressed;

◊Blowing Springs Park and pavilion. The staff hopes to reopen the park in the next few weeks. The Blowing Springs Walking Trails, however, are open;

◊Tanyard Creek Nature Trail;

◊Boat ramp access atLake Windsor’s London Landing. The restrooms and pavilion at London Park, however, are expected to reopen in the next few weeks;

◊The back nine holes on the Scotsdale Golf Course;

and

◊Branchwood Golf Course.

Members and guests are encouraged to call the facilities before visiting to make sure they have reopened.
