What is the point?

Five U.S. destroyers sitting off the coast of Syria, our military standing at the ready, Secretary of State John Kerry makes a strong case about striking at a ruthless murderer for gassing his own people, many of them children.

Then our “leader,” and I certainly use that term loosely, announces he has decided to strike Syria via a big media event, like he always does whenever he has to make a decision that no other president could possibly make on his own.

He states that the atrocities are so egregious that action is a necessity.

Oh, and he now wants to run it by Congress with a vote scheduled for Sept.

  1. Then it was time for golf for Obama and Biden. Really, are you serious? The atrocities are not too badto interfere with the Labor Day holiday and golf. This completely defi es logic.

Military leaders are scratching their heads while vacationer-in-chief is playing golf and off to Europe. Guess he didn’t get enough golf during vacation just two weeks ago.

Our allies are wondering what the hell is going on with the Americans, knowing they cannot count on us anymore.

On the other hand, Iran, Russia, North Korea and Syria are pleased with their new friend in Obama. They don’t take us seriously anymore because he has drawn a line and failed repeatedly to back up his tough talk.

The element of surprise is no longer on our side since the Obama administration couldn’t keep its mouth shut; instead, Obama announced the “shot across the bow” response he will take.

News fl ash, Obama, a shot across the bow doesn’t hit anything.

“Sending a strong message to knock off the use of chemical weapons” - wow, I bet they are shaking in their boots. Further announcing where we are going to strike was a stupid move because now Syria has relocated their armament and bused in prisoners to use as human shields.

Maybe Obama needs the additional time to ensure that the Syrian government has time to remove everything from the target zone so he cannot be accused of making someone mad. God knows he couldn’t have that on his impeccable and “historic” record.

The history books will undoubtedly be written in his favor no matter what he does or how muchdamage he causes to the security and reputation of this country.

I hope that everyone who voted for Obama can find a logical argument to justify his incompetence.

To date, I personally have not met one person who has anything remotely resembling a sound and intelligent argument that supports the actions of the president.

The argument follows this path: racism, George Bush, Republicans and then the coup de gras - Obamacare. Such a wonderful program that the unions pushing it received waivers, Congress wavered themselves and those waking up have realized it is not so great.

Obama has to go. Get rid of Pryor and stack the Senate with Republicans for impeachment!
