Wednesday, September 18, 2013

GRAVETTE - Gravette Farmers’ Market, which originally was under control and management of the city, is now operated by a four-member GFM (Gravette Farmers’ Market) management team comprised of Paul Mahon, Evelyn Mc-Graw, Beth Patton and Allyson Ransom.

The team is made up of people who have been with the market the longest - McGraw, five years; Mahon and Patton, each with four years; and Ransom, whose six years of service began when the market started.

“We all share various duties,” said Ransom, who is in charge of grants and special programs. “The Community Foundation, with Jim Singleton as treasurer, holds funds and gives regular reports on revenues and expenses,” Ransom says.

The market will continue for several weeks, through October, and is open each Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon.

“We have had some beautiful veggies and we have some ‘double-your-money’ voucher cards still available for participating seniors,” the market announced.
