Lofty and DaleLynn Carrier left Tuesday morning to return to Morrilton by way of Norman, Okla., to visit briefly with their daughter, Lamarise.

A lot of you will remember Mrs. Trembly as your teacher at one time. I saw in the paper this week where she had passed away. Sympathy is extended to her family.

Linda Fisher returned to her home in Oklahoma on Sunday after spending the week here visiting her mother and brothers.

Those having lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mike and Gabe on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks and myself.

The Leon Bertschy family enjoyed lunch with Cheryl and her family on Sunday.

Hiwasse Fall Festival will be held at the fi re station on Sat., Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free hot dogs and chili, games for the children and hay rides.

Everyone is so busy with “end of the season chores” they haven’t had time to get out and make news.

Sept. 18, 1793, the cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol was laid.
