BOONEVILLE - Gravette scored 24 secondhalf points on the road Friday night, but could not climb out of a 41-0 hole in a nonconference loss to Booneville.
The Bearcats (2-0) raced to a big lead behind Bryson May, who ran for two touchdowns and returned a fumble for a third. He also had a twopoint conversion run and ended his night early with 13 carries for 91 yards.
Gravette (0-2) got scoring runs from Cedric Duarte and Bryce Moorman and touchdown passes from Moorman to Shay Shimer and Garrett Bray in the second half.
The Lions will travel to Siloam Springs this week.
