MAYSVILLE NEWS

The weather has been nice for a couple of days, but we are in need of more rain. Hopefully we will get some.

Sunday was homecoming day at the Maysville Bible Church. The attendance was good. After morning service we had lunch with lots of food and fellowship. It was good to see several that we hadn’t seen for quite some time.

After lunch we had some good singing, Jim Whisenant and his son Nathan, Connie (Janes) Threlkeld and the Wardlawsisters, Eva Rea, Ellen and Christi. It was all good.

Sylvia Tucker visited her daughter Patti in Lowell last week. She went on Tuesday and came home on Thursday. She and Patti enjoyed the time together, and I think they did a little shopping.

Jim and Berti Ray spent two weeks in the oceanfront home of their daughter, Kimberly Burrow, and granddaughter Sari. Berti and Sari enjoyed making seashell necklaces. The beach home is located in Surf City, North Carolina. The surf was up and all had a wonderful time.

Carroll Tucker and Pam visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker one evening last week. They always enjoy a good visit.

Orpha Wardlaw’s visitors last weekend were Steve and Ellen Harris of Ponca City, Okla., Steve and Eva Rea Fincher of Tulsa and Christi Wardlaw of Little Rock. They were here for the homecoming day. Jeremy, wife and daughter (Orpha’s great-granddaughter) were also here from Ponca City.

Sylvia Tucker came by for while on Thursday. She brought me some Jonathan apples from Vanzant’s Orchard in Lowell.
