Gentry falls to Pea Ridge

GENTRY -- The Pioneers fell to the Pea Ridge Blackhawks in an away game before spring break, on March 24, losing 14 to 4.

The Pioneers had only two hits in the game but managed four runs.

The Pioneers put two runs on the board in the top of the first after Ryan Hockenberry and Dustin Stoufflet walked and later scored on Pea Ridge errors. They added two more in the top of the fourth when Dillon Matthews and Tucker Willett scored.

Pea Ridge, on the other hand, scored three in the first, four each in the next two at bats and another three in the fourth. The Blackhawk batters had 12 hits in the game and finished in 4 1/2 innings with 14 runs.
