GENTRY -- Earth Day will be observed at Eagle Watch Nature Area on Saturday, with activities beginning at 9:30 a.m. Activities planned include planting of some trees, work in flower beds and a number of wildlife programs by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
Lynn Sciumbato will be there and explain her rehabilitation program for injured animals and will likely bring a live raptor for visitors to see up close.
Eagle Watch Nature Area is located just west of Gentry on Arkansas Highway 12.
The location is owned by AEP-SWEPCO's Flint Creek Power Plant.
