GRAVETTE -- Gravette Days and the Payne Family Reunion flew by for another year. The weekend started Friday, Aug. 8, with a big barbecue and pool time at Delbert Payne and Jo Jackson's home in Gentry.

On Saturday, Aug. 9, after donning our Payne Gang shirts, more than 50 of us were in the Gravette Days parade. We were finished with the parade before the rain came.

Saturday night we had a spaghetti dinner at Lanny and Snooky's house. It was fun breaking in my newly remodeled kitchen.

Of course, the big day was Sunday at the Civic Center with all the great food and visiting. Do you get the idea that this family likes to eat? After lunch we had our family auction.

Those attending from Texas were Hal and Patti Cummins; their daughter Rachal, son Patrick Cummins and girlfriend Lyndsay Hess from Coppell, Texas; Andy Wineberg and son Henry from Austin, Texas. Andy was on crutches after breaking an ankle on Thursday rock climbing. Feel better soon, Andy.

Coming from Oklahoma were Rick and Janet Payne, Jeff and Candy Williams, Rebecka Williams, Chloe Jackson, John Wayne Williams, Matt Williams and friend Emily Morrison, Todd and Wendy Frost and Stefen Frost, all from Vinita; Delbert Monroe and Arleeta O'Neal from Sand Springs.

Bill and Paula Nicholson came from Kansas City, Mo.

Attending from the home state of Arkansas were Delbert Payne and Jo Jackson of Gentry, Gayle Turner and Cadance of Rogers; Mandy Beth Payne, Al Ellis, Luke Payne and Kenya Payne of Fayetteville; Brian, Cheryl, Hogan and Hayden Bowen of Springdale; Don and Nancy Payne, Donnie and Marilyn Payne, daughters Emily and Sophie, Steve Payne, Sarah Payne, Debbie Buckner, Randy and Tina Boling, daughter Allie and friend Jordan Kershner and Chris Boling, all of Bentonville; Blake and Lyndsy Garrett and children Kylee and Noah, John Payne, Cody Payne and girlfriend Haley Campbell, all of Decatur.

Those from Gravette were Bill and Clara Payne, Sue Rice, Mary Bumstead, Jeff and Lana Turner, Lacey Morgan and children Katelyn and Wyatt, Chuck and Lisa Garrett, Leif and Amy Garrett, Lin Beeler, Lanny and Snooky Garrett.

We missed those who were not able to attend. You are always in our hearts and we hope to see you for our Christmas celebration.
