DECATUR -- For the 2014 Fall Youth Soccer Season, Decatur is again playing with Gentry through the Gentry Youth Organization. Soccer registration forms are due no later than this Friday, Aug. 29. Forms may be obtained and turned in at the principal's office at either Decatur Northside or Decatur Middle School.
The registration cost is $55 per child and is due when the registration form is turned in.
This year, soccer registration age ranges from 6 to 14 years old. Age classifications are 6 and under, 8 and under, 10 and under and 14 and under. This is the first season that leagues are available for children age 14, and if there is not enough interest for that age, entry fees will be returned to the children's parents.
All games will be played in Gentry on Saturdays and the season will conclude in the end of October.
The Gentry Youth Organization is a volunteer organization and must have volunteers. Parents of participating children are asked to consider volunteering as a coach, assistant coach, referee, concession volunteer or team parent.
