Gravette DECA students compete at state

GRAVETTE -- Gravette High School students in DECA (An Association of Marketing Students) have attended several competitions this year.

During the State Leadership Conference Oct. 6 students competed in team decision and individual case interview events. Ten students competed and eight students placed in the top six and received state medals and certificates. The following students placed at the state event: Hayley Arnold - fourth in Apparel and Accessories, Colin Boyer - second in Principles of Financial Marketing, Jerica Brown - sixth in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism, Josh Lockhart- second in Marketing Management, Trine Meisland and Sarah Parrone - sixth in Hospitality and Tourism Team Decision, Cole Turner - fifth in Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Emily Ward - fifth in Business Services. Kyle Sands competed in Principles of Marketing and Taylor West competed in Quick Restaurant.

DECA students also competed in the Missouri Southern State University business competitions in April.
