GENTRY -- When a man staying at the Gentry Motel was arrested on an outstanding Oklahoma warrant charging him with being a sex offender and living too close to a school, a warrant was also sought to charge him for living in Gentry and failing to register as a sex offender with the Gentry Police Department.

Police arrested Therin Francis Scott Brown, 48, on an Oklahoma warrant for living too close to a school. When police learned that Brown had been staying at the Gentry Motel for 4 1/2 months and had not registered with the department, request was made for a warrant to charge Brown for failure to register in Gentry. The warrant was served earlier this week, according to police.

According to police reports, Brown is a Level 3 sex offender and was staying at the motel in Gentry since July 16.
