DECATUR -- Walmart will hire approximately 30 associates to work at the new Walmart Neighborhood Market slated to open this winter in Decatur.
Applications will be accepted 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A hiring kiosk is available in the Siloam Springs Walmart Supercenter, located at 2901 Highway 412 E.
Through Walmart's Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, the company will offer a job to any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months if he or she meets Walmart's standard hiring criteria. According to store manager Lora Randall, the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates.
"We are proud to be offering Decatur residents good jobs with career opportunities," said Randall.
Walmart provides a benefits program to eligible full- and part-time associates, including a variety of affordable health and well-being benefits such as health-care coverage with no lifetime maximum. Walmart also offers eligible associates matching 401(k) contributions of up to 6 percent of pay, discounts on general merchandise, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life insurance. Additionally, eligible associates receive a quarterly incentive based on store performance.
The majority of new associates will begin work in December to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
