GRAVETTE -- A Gravette man was arrested Friday after officers conducted a search of his home and found drug paraphernalia and suspicious devices. Police reportedly saw what they believed to be pipe bombs inside the home but found the devices were not explosives.

Timothy Scott Harrison is in custody in Benton County Jail in connection with possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class D felony. A search of his residence at 902 Fourth Ave. S.W. was initiated Friday morning after tips from several sources alerted the Gravette Police Department to the possible presence, use and sale of methamphetamines there. Investigation by Officer Bryan Smith corroborated the information and confirmed the use of illicit drugs before the search warrant was issued.

No one was at home at the time the warrant was served, shortly after 9 a.m. During the search of the residence, investigators discovered a box containing the two suspicious devices consisting of closed sections of plastic pipe. Officers cleared the residence and informed neighbors of the situation.

The bomb squad from Bentonville Police Department was called in to assist and arrived about noon. They removed the devices from the home using robotics and examined them. X-ray photos showed small round pellets inside, but no means of igniting or detonating them. Breaking into the pipes revealed lead shot but no propellant or explosive.

After the threat of danger was eliminated, investigators continued their search of the home and found numerous items of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of usable drugs.

A second suspect, Jonathan Bradly Garber, is being sought in connection with the investigation.
