GENTRY — The old Bratt-Wasson Bank building, built on Gentry's Main Street in 1966, was demolished this morning to make way for a parking area for the new Arvest Bank facility just finished this month.
The new home for the Gentry branch of Arvest Bank is open, and the old is being removed.
The demolition work was being done by Wally Bloomfield of wreckit.com in Tulsa, Okla.
Within minutes, the building was pretty much reduced to a heap of rubble.
The demolition company will haul off the debris, recycling many of the materials in the old building.
