Wednesday, February 5, 2014

GRAVETTE -- Reservations are still being accepted for the revitalized Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce banquet scheduled Thursday, Feb. 13, at Horton Farms, southeast of Gravette.

This Friday, Feb. 7, is the deadline to make reservations, and tickets may be purchased at both the Bank of Gravett and Arvest Bank, as well as at Ozarks Community Hospital from Morgan Black, GGCC spokesperson.

Evening activities begin at 6 p.m. for socializing while enjoying music of the Gravette High School jazz band. Photographer Steve Huckreide will have a photo gallery on display of local scenes which show many of the positives of the city.

Dinner, at 6:30, catered by Chef Steve and Hard Luck Cafe, will feature a special beef or chicken entree and complementary sides. Your choice should be reserved when your tickets are purchased. Nonmembers who purchase two tickets will receive a complimentary membership in the Chamber, Black said.

John Gregson, GGCC president, will outline activities of the past year, events planned for the coming year and long-range goals of the Chamber. He will introduce 2014 officers and introduce new members who will receive their membership plaques.

A dessert and candy bar will be a feature at 7:30 when door prizes will also be announced.

The Chamber meets the third Wednesday each month at 11:30 a.m. at the hospital with a complimentary meal. Anyone interested may contact Black at 344-6464 by this Friday for tickets or for information about the Chamber.
