Monday, Feb. 17, 11:48 p.m.

Bob Kirkley called the police department and said he has a male pitbull puppy at his house someone dropped off at 13531 Mt. Pleasant. It's a male, white and brown.

Tuesday, Feb. 18, 4:45 p.m.

Officers caught four puppies in a city trap near the intersection of Akron and 2nd. All four puppies have already been adopted.

Tuesday, Feb. 18, 11:28 p.m.

Officers arrested Geoffrey Gibson during a traffic stop for a Failure to Appear warrant with an original charge of possession of a controlled substance. The warrant was out of the Gravette Police Department. During the same traffic stop officers also arrested Alicia Sharp for possession of a controlled substance.

Wednesday, Feb. 19, 9:45 a.m.

Officers were stopped by a woman in the Middle School parking lot and informed there was a dog that looked as if it was not being fed near the corner of 6th St. S.E. and Atlanta S.E. Officers later made contact with Brittany McGurkin and looked at the dog. The dog had recently had eight puppies and was skinny. The hip bones were partially showing as were the ribs and backbone. The officer informed Brittany that they would come back in 10 days and the dog needed to be in better shape or she could be charged with animal cruelty.

Thursday, Feb. 20, 4:05 a.m.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Dallas St. for a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival officers determined that a child had rolled over on the phone while sleeping and accidentally dialed 911. There was no emergency and all residents were fine.

Thursday, Feb. 20, 9:45 p.m.

Stella Myers reported to officers that when she went to Walmart Express she was given a fraudulent $10 bill when she received change for her purchase. Officers filed a report and the incident is under investigation.

Saturday, Feb. 22, 4:45 p.m.

Officers pulled over a vehicle driven by Chris O'Brien. O'Brien was arrested and cited for driving on a suspended driver's license.

Saturday, Feb. 22, 10:02 p.m.

Officers were called to the 16000 block of W. Hwy. 72 in reference to suspicious circumstances. Mrs. Mercado's daughter's ex-husband has been driving through the circle drive of the house and parking outside on the road in front of the house. The caller stated that he should not be at the house. Officers were unable to locate the subject upon their arrival.
