GRAVETTE -- Chris Taylor, an Arkansas native who has operated the Shelter Insurance agency in Bentonville for the past eight years, has assumed operation of the Shelter office in Gravette

He is a native of McCrory in Woodruff County, where he attended and graduated from high school. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, Monticello, where he played fullback with the Boll Weevils' football team. After receiving his bachelor's degree, he was named Director of Health and Wellness for the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

Chris and his wife, Lori, presently live in Centerton. Their two sons, Will, age 12, and Josh, 9, will continue to attend school in Bentonville the remainder of this school year.

After operating the Bentonville office, Chris said, "I've been anxious to get back to a small town atmosphere, like where I grew up in McCrory." He said he felt right at home in Gravette.

The Shelter office remains in the same location on Main Street and retains the same telephone number, 787-5421.

Chris said his aim is to continue the good community reputation and service Bob Kelley has provided and he invites everyone to stop by the office, which will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
