GRAVETTE -- Bob Kelley, who has served as Shelter Insurance agent since 1987, and his wife, Sandra, were honored last week at a retirement reception at the office on Main Street in Gravette.

Dozens of friends, associates and well-wishers attended the event to wish the couple enjoyable times and happiness as they enter a new phase of their lives.

Kelley assumed the agent position 27 years ago in January. His wife has been an integral part of the business. Both have also been greatly involved in the community, its organizations, and their church activities. Both are graduates of Gravette High School, as are their two grown children, son Michael and daughter Kathleen Baker.

"I want to offer my heartfelt thanks to my customers who have been so good to Sandy and me the last 27 years," Bob said. "It has been a privilege to serve. I will miss seeing you and talking to you on a day-to-day basis, but I will remain your friend always. Please join me in wishing the new agent, Chris Taylor, the best of luck in Gravette. I hope you will show the same kindness to him as you have to me."

A friend, who wished to remain anonymous said, "They may be retiring from business, but they won't be retiring."
