Gravette Lions beat Neosho

GRAVETTE -- In a hard-fought game, the Gravette Lions beat Neosho in a home game on Saturday.

After the first period, the teams were 15 points each; but by the half, Gravette was up by three, 36-33.

Gravette outscored Neosho by two points in each of the final periods, picking up 20 points each period to Neosho's 18.

The game final was 76-69, Gravette.

Other games

The Lions were defeated at Lincoln on Friday, 77-61. They also lost to Farmington on Jan. 14 by a score of 59-46.

At Farmington, the Lions were ahead of the Cards in the first half, 26-24, but Farmington held Gravette to six points in the third period and grabbed the lead, 36-32. The final period, too, was Farmington's, with another 23 points put on the board to Gravette's 14.

Lincoln 48

The Lady Lions defeated Lincoln on Friday by a score of 58-48. The teams combined to shoot 79 free throws and six players fouled out. Gravette (3-10, 1-4) converted 28 of 38 free throws while Lincoln (6-11, 2-4) made 22 of 41.

Samantha Pruitt of Gravette led all scorers after making 18 of 21 attempts from the line.
