By Katherine Tucker

The sunshine has been nice this week after our winter snow and ice, although the wind has been rather cold. After all it is January.

Steve and Susan Tucker of Bella Vista visited me last Sunday afternoon. I enjoyed that. The lightning on Friday had struck my telephone so I was out of phone service until Tuesday. Steve checked all that for me.

Marion Brankel had passed away the early part of the week at Ozarks Community Hospital. He had been a Maysville resident for several years. Sympathy is extended to the family.

Clifton Tucker visited me for a while one day this week. I'm always glad when he comes by.

Maysville E. H. Club members, remember this Thursday, Jan. 23, is our regular club meeting at the community building. Nikki Crawley will be the hostess for our lunch. I think she has the lesson also.

Patti King of Lowell visited her parents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, last weekend. She also visited her brother Carroll and Pam.

My granddaughter, Tracy Warren, and great-granddaughter, Skyler Warren, came over and spent some time with me Sunday afternoon. I enjoyed that.

We had dinner last Sunday after church at the Maysville Bible Church with plenty of good food and fellowship.

Carroll Tucker and Pam visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker last Saturday.

Al Casey passed away at his home last Tuesday. Funeral services were Thursday at Bethel Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to the family.

I had a good conversation with my grandson, Sheldon Tucker, of New York. Sunday was his birthday, so I called him and we had a good visit. He is going to be busy with auditions coming up for a couple of weeks. It was good to talk to him. I haven't seen him since June. It will probably be a while before he can make it in for a visit.
