Fans urged to join in Lion orange-out event Friday

GRAVETTE -- Fans of the Gravette Lions are being urged to support their teams on Friday with a show of orange in the stands. To facilitate this, a group of local businesses have teamed up to provide orange T-shirts to the fans to truly fill the stands with orange and create an orange-out event.

Orange T-shirts supporting the Lions and listing the names of sponsors will be passed out to each Gravette fan entering the competition gym, free, for as long as supplies last. Fans are urged to come early to be sure they receive their orange shirts.

A flyer promoting the event urges Lions fans to come out and get their "free Orange-Out 2014 T-shirts while supplies last, so come early and support your Lions in victory!"

Supporters for the event include Arvest Bank, KBVA, Dr. Ty Russell, El Bohemio Restaurant, Austin Drug, Credit Cars, Benton County Realty, Blue Bunny ice cream, Marathon Metal and the Westside Eagle Observer.

The Lions take on the Farmington Cardinals on Friday, Jan. 31. Games begin at 4 p.m., with varsity games set to begin about 5:30.
