From Last Week:

Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier were in Norman, Okla., last Saturday to see their daughter Lamarise.

My neighbor had a cookout for family and friends last Saturday evening. Although I was unable to attend, the boys brought me a delicious barbecue pork chop.

The rain last Sunday morning was not a help to the farmers who had hay on the ground.

Amy Brooks and Diane Carrier fixed lunch on Sunday to honor the fathers in the family. Others enjoying it were their husbands Tom and Brian, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier, Gabe Carrier and myself.

The Habermehl family needs our prayers as they are all on the "sick list" again, Bill, Sue and Billy.

Larry Keith is a resident of the Bentonville Manor at this time. Keep him and Regina in your prayers.

Sympathy is extended to the Dryden family. I knew Marguerite all my life and most of us former Gravette Hospital employees remember her from there.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Farr. Again, we former Gravette Hospital employees remember Jim in ER.

Saturday was the first day of summer. Have you noticed the days getting shorter yet?

Those enjoying lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Gabe Carrier and me.

Pam Bertschy has returned from a trip to Florida. It's good to have her home and we enjoyed her being back at church.

Dodie, we all miss you but hope you have a long and happy retirement. Just don't drive Louise crazy.

This Week's News:

Friday is July 4th, which means a long weekend with lots of picnics and family gatherings and lots of traffic. Drive carefully and stay safe. Have fun.

We have received some nice rain this week, 4.2 inches at my house.

On Thursday evening, my neighbors, Shane, William, Jesse and Lily, visited with me.

Mr. and Mrs. Skylar Carrier, Jessica, Madison, and Serenity were in Hindsville on Sunday helping Tasha's grandmother celebrate her birthday.

Larry Keith's condition remains about the same. He is in Room 319B at Bentonville Manor.

Those enjoying Sunday lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mike and Gabe were Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier and me. On Saturday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier had supper with Mr. and Mrs. Skylar Carrier and got to play with their granddaughter.

I apologize. My phone is out and I have been unable to call anyone and find out what is going on in my neighborhood.
