Maysville news

We have received a good rain the past few days. It's thundering around like we will get more and it will be welcome also.

Marvin and Bert Ballman and Luke made a trip to Michigan recently to attend graduation ceremonies for Wade Ballman, son of Pete and Sue Ballman. They report a good trip.

Earl Black is home after spending time in the hospital from severe burns he received when burning brush last week. He entered the VA hospital in Fayetteville and they transferred him to the burn center at Children's Hospital in Little Rock. He is home but has a lot of healing to do. Glad you are home, Earl, and take care.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker, Patti King, Petru, Carroll Tucker and Pam went to Callahan's at Siloam Springs to eat on Sunday. They were celebrating Patti's birthday. Happy birthday, Patti, and have many more.

Jim Whisenant spent some time in the Bentonville hospital last week. He is home and doing better. His son, Nathan, did the morning services at Maysville Bible Church on Sunday.

Orpha Wardlaw visited me on Wednesday morning last week. She had been to Bentonville and came back by. We had a good visit. I enjoyed her coming by.

Shelli Bishop visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, one day last week. They are always glad for her to come by.

My great-grandson, Tyler Martin, visited me one day last week. He is home from college for the summer. I sure enjoyed his visit. He is working at his job and also umping some baseball games. He doesn't have much free time. I'm glad he used some of it to visit me.

Clifton Tucker of Bella Vista came by on Wednesday for a short visit. He usually comes by when he is over this way on his job and I'm glad he does.

Melinda Crawley attended the state E.H. meeting in Hot Springs Tuesday through Thursday of last week. It was for all county clubs and she represented the Maysville club.

My brother-in-law, David Tucker, visited me last Tuesday morning. We had a good visit, updating each other on family members. He is good to come by and check on me and I like that.

Nema Snyder and son Gary of Bartlesville, Okla., visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker one day last week. It had been quite some time since she had been over.
