Evans honored at retirement Jeff Thacker, representing U.S. Congressman Steve Womack, presented Dodie Evans (right) with a medallion and a congressional proclamation honoring Evans for 61 years in the newspaper industry and for his service to Gravette and the surrounding communities. The presentation took place at an open house on Thursday in Gravette to honor Evans on the occasion of his retirement as editor emeritus from the Westside Eagle Observer.
