Jim and Beverly Farr, of Gravette, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Friday, June 27.

They were married June 27, 1974, at the Church of God Holiness in Gravette, by Rev. Donald Martin. They were blessed with seven children: Scott (Callie) Farr, Nadine (David) St John, Terri (Robert) Tibbs, Nancy Martin, Kris (Dan) Thompson, Johnny (Gwen) Jones and Susan (Brian) Behrent; 21 grandchildren, Sean, Sara, Zara, Michael, Kristy (Tyson), Jennifer, Beth, Davie, Brittany (Joe), Brooke, Cole, Bradley (Chelsea), Wesley, Daniel, Hailey (Adam), Amanda, Josiah, Kelby, Andrew (Sadie), Blane and Cydney; and two-great grandchildren, Delany and Theo.

Jim and Beverly worked hard to raise their children together after each losing their spouses in tragic accidents. Jim, a registered nurse for many years, retired from the Veteran's Hospital in Fayetteville. He fixed cars, worked in construction, memorized the Bible and cheered on Dale Earnhardt, his favorite NASCAR driver.

Beverly sewed and all her daughters and granddaughters had beautiful homemade dresses. She spent hours making quilts for each of her children. Her children carry on her tradition of making Navajo tacos; Beverly was a missionary on the Navajo Indian reservation.

Anniversary cards would be warmly welcomed. They may be mailed to Jim and Beverly Farr, 104 10th Ave., S.E., Gravette, AR 72736.
