Maysville News

We had another little rain and more is forecast. Hope it doesn't turn off hot and dry in July and August.

Maysville Day was a big day with a good crowd and lots of activities during the day. They had a good parade also. They are already looking forward to another one next year. They thank everyone who took a part in it. That's what makes things happen, people working together.

Steve and Susan Tucker and Sheldon came out on Saturday. They put up a new ceiling fan for me. I had one that just quit on me. We had a good visit. It was so good to see Sheldon. He will be home for a while so maybe I can see him more often although he has taken a job at the fitness center in Bentonville for the summer, so it will go fast.

Maysville E.H. Club members, remember this Thursday is our regular club day at the community building. Katherine Tucker is hostess for the lunch. We will pay dues and select our duties for the coming year.

Dan Ransom, a long-time Maysville resident, passed away last week. His funeral services were Saturday. He was very active in REMAY when it was organized and also took part in Maysville Days. Sympathy is extended to the family.

Carroll Tucker and Pam visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker one evening last week. They had a good visit.

Clifton Tucker came by to see me on Friday afternoon. He had a little free time so we had a good visit.
