Gentry defeated by Siloam Springs in benefit

GENTRY -- The Siloam Springs baseball team defeated Gentry on Thursday in an Arkansas Activities Association benefit game held at Gentry High School.

The game was played as a seven-inning game -- three innings of junior varsity before clearing the scoreboard and playing four innings of varsity.

In the varsity innings, Siloam Springs defeated Gentry 7-0.

Siloam Springs won the junior varsity portion 9-1.

Gentry is schduled to play an away game at Cedarville on Friday and a home game against Shiloh Christian next Tuesday. Both varsity games are scheduled at 5 p.m. Junior varsity games are at 7 p.m.

In softball, Gentry is scheduled to play at Green Forest on Thursday and at home, against Decatur, on Friday. Start times are scheduled at 4:30 p.m.
