GRAVETTE -- Ice and snow won't stop the show! ... . The show must go on!

That's the theme of activity of the Gravette High School Drama Department students as they prepare for their performance of the famed musical "Guys and Dolls."

Last week's ice and snowstorm caused confusion with rehearsals and final preparations but drama instructor/director Ian Galloway and the entire cast have buckled down for the big event.

The curtain will rise at 7 p.m. this Saturday evening at the GHS Performing Arts Center when the cast will take to the stage to provide an evening of show-time entertainment.

A matinee performance will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., which will give area residents the opportunity to see the show if they were unable to attend the evening performance.

Tickets for both performances are available at the high school office, at Bank of Gravett and at Arvest Bank locations in Gravette and Bella Vista or can be purchased at the door: $10 for adults, $5 for students.

The Gravette High choral groups, under the direction of Shelly O'Dell, play key roles in the lively production which, with the drama students, will guarantee an enjoyable evening or afternoon.

This performance of the highly acclaimed Broadway play and later a popular cinema musical will rival any of the other outstanding shows at the PAC, according to those who have seen snippets during rehearsals.
