Curtain opened on 'Guys and Dolls'

GRAVETTE -- Those who attended the Saturday evening and Sunday matinee performances of "Guys and Dolls," a production of the Gravette High School Performing Arts Department, were treated to a two-hour musical comedy that brought frequent applause and a standing ovation for the cast and crew.

Cast members in leading roles were: Carson Alsup, Claudia Anderson, Cody Robinson, Jillian Greenway, Carter Beggs, Colten Griffith, Ashton Yarbrough, Laurel Mayo, Shelby Helser, Chay McDaniel, Noah Smith, Jake White and Nathaniel Houchin.

They were joined by Heaven-Leigh Ivers, Aubrey Moudy, R.J. Vickers, Maddy Zillman, James Isabell, Carson King, Cody Sullins, Talon Summerlin, Luke Thrailkill, John Walker, Tori Dixon, Jamie Harper, Alicia Lee, Angela Lee, Kayden Moss and Emily Vue.

Shannon McKnight was stage manager; Aaron Eddy, sound board operator; and Gina Dixon, hair and makeup. The running crew members were Emily Cole, Kendra Greenhaw, Spencer Heald, Kyle Homer, Kelly Lange, Makayla Moore, Tyler Martin and Kaela Selby.

Set construction was by GHS Stagecraft and a "2:30 crew" was comprised of cast members.

This best and elaborate production by GHS students was made possible by more than $4,000 pledged by individuals and several area businesses.
