Indian Taco fundraiser set April 4

GRAVETTE -- The youth group from Harvest Baptist Church is sponsoring an Indian taco fundraiser on Friday, April 4.

At lunchtime they will deliver Indian tacos locally for a cost of $10, including delivery. Special orders and vegetarian options are available. Orders need to be made in advance for delivery on Friday. Orders can be placed with any member of the Harvest youth group up until Thursday at noon, by calling 721-1650 or by emailing your request to [email protected].

Fundraiser sponsors explained that an Indian taco has the same ingredients as a traditional taco but it is served over a deep-fried puffy, chewy piece of homemade fry bread instead of in a taco shell. "They are delicious!" sponsors said. If you are unsure whether deliveries will be made to your work place, contact Terry, 721-1844, with questions or delivery options. "You'd be surprised what we'd do to get your lunch order!" they said.

All funds raised will be used to support Harvest Baptist's summer mission trip to Alabama. The youth and a few adult sponsors will travel to Danville, Ala., in July to support Hopewell Baptist Church for their Vacation Bible School. The mission team will evangelize locally and reach out to the local community by helping with construction and cleanup projects. They will also help with teaching the local children every evening during the VBS event. There are also plans to have an adult outreach during the evening while the children are being taught.

Pastor Deryl King and the church youth invite all in the area to order tacos for lunch and help support their summer missions outreach project.
