Saturday, May 10, is the postal service yearly pickup for the food bank. Hang a bag with some nonperishable items on your mailbox.

49er and Tippy both made their yearly trip to the fire station on Monday evening to get their rabies shot. There seemed to be a good turnout for the clinic. Thank you, Dr. Harris and Angie, for coming to our community and making it easier for us.

Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier had birthday lunch for their son, Skylar, on Sunday. Others helping him celebrate were his wife, Tasha, Jessica, Madison, Uncle Ward, Aunt Paula and Grandma Carrier.

Billy Habermehl suffered a fall at his home last week which reopened his incision, causing a delay in his recovery from surgery.

Rhonda Presley is still seriously ill in the hospital.

Paul Keith has spent some time in Central Arkansas this week with a group from his church helping with the tornado cleanup.

Geneva, Amanda and Reese Hamilton, Novella Carlton and Betty Pollreis attended the Mother's Day luncheon at the Hiwasse Baptist Church on Saturday. Keli and Brook Belts served as hostesses. An enjoyable time was reported by all.
