GRAVETTE -- Gravette's First Christian Church youth group observed Earth Day April 27 with a "planting day" project at the Gravette Nature Observation Trail.
Twenty-seven youth and adults participated by planting 12 trees. They also planted flowers in a butterfly garden.
The trees and flowers were provided by Rachel Jones, as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project.
"It was a fun time for all," said Nancy Jones, who is leader for the Gravette Girl Scout troop.
