GRAVETTE -- As the end of school for the 2013-14 term winds down, the following schedule of activities is planned at the four schools in the Gravette system.
Some changes of dates, and possibly times, are reflected in the information provided Monday of this week by the various school administrative offices. Some changes, from earlier announcements, have occurred because of the snow-days missed which required changes of plans.
Gravette High School
Because of a power failure at school on Monday, Scholarship Night was rescheduled for Thursday, May 15, at 7 p.m.
May 16: Awards Assembly, at 9 a.m. in the PAC (Performing Arts Center).
May 16: Baccalaureate, at 7 p.m. in the PAC. Members of the senior class will be speakers. Attendance by seniors is not mandatory.
May 17: Commencement, at 10 a.m. at Lion Field. In case of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be held in the Competition Gymnasium.
Gravette Middle School
June 3: Awards Assembly, at 9 a.m. in the Competition Gymnasium.
June 3: Field Fun Day will be held in the afternoon until dismissal at 3 p.m. -- the last day of classes.
Upper Elementary School
June 2: Awards Assembly in the school cafeteria; third grade at 1:30 p.m.; fourth grade at 2:00 p.m., fifth grade at 2:30 p.m.
June 3: Talent Show in the school cafeteria; third grade at 8:15 a.m.; fourth grade at 9:15 a.m.; fifth grade at 10:15 a.m.
Glenn Duffy Elementary
May 30: Buddy Day. Kindergarten at 9 a.m.; first grade at 1:45 p.m.; second grade at 2:00 p.m.
June 2: Orientation for 2014-15 Kindergarten parents, 2:30-3:15 p.m. at the school.
June 3: Kindergarten Graduation, at 9 a.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
June 3: Awards Assemblies in the Competition Gymnasium; first grade at 1:00 p.m.; second grade at 1:45 p.m.
June 3: Last day of school. School will dismiss at regular times starting at 3 p.m.
