GENTRY -- The Lady Pioneers won their first game in state competition on Friday, defeating Stuttgart, 4-0. Amber Ellis put in three goals in the game, increasing her season scoring record to 68 goals. Brieann Ward had one goal and one assist in the game.
Against Maumelle on Saturday, the Gentry girls came up short, losing by a single goal, 2-1. Haley Borgeteien-James scored Gentry's only goal, with Amber Ellis assisting.
