GRAVETTE -- Gravette Athletic Boosters will hold its Member Appreciation Banquet, Auction, & Athletics Awards Assembly on Friday, May 23, at Gravette High School.
Following is the schedule for the event:
• 5 to 6:15 p.m. -- Silent auction in the GHS practice gym, with free admission to the public. The auction includes a La-Z-Boy recliner; Grass-fed ground beef package; Ecotools cosmetic accessory basket; Jalopy Joes Car Wash gift cards; Fast Lanes tickets; Keeco queen size comforter; Malco movie passes; Decorative Sterling & Noble wall clocks; Disney merchandise; St. Louis Cardinals baseball tickets; Kansas City Royals tickets; Silver Dollar City passes; Showboat Branson Bell tickets; Hollywood Wax Museum Branson tickets; Children's bow/fishing package; Linksys routers; Dirt Devil Cyclonic quick power vacuum; Pork grilling package; and more items too numerous to mention.
• 5 to 6 p.m. -- Dinner in the Commons, meal tickets $8/person are available at the door. Meal is catered by Hard Luck Café. A special admittance letter is being emailed to current Booster Club members/sponsors.
• 6:30 p.m. -- Live auction, guest speaker, and Athletic Awards Assembly in the GHS Performing Arts Center. An autographed GHS team ball from each sport will be auctioned to the highest bidder. Guest speaker will be Dick Johnson, vice president for development and school relations for 5 Star Sports. Individual and team recognition of achievements will be given for all Gravette sports by our GHS Lions coaches.
• New this year will be a drawing for up to $10,000 (winner must be willing to fill out a 1099 tax form, but the winner need not be present to win. A maximum of 200 tickets will be sold. If all tickets are not sold by drawing date, winner will split the pot. Winning ticket will be drawn Friday, May 23, at the athletic banquet).
