GRAVETTE -- Gravette Lion first baseman Boston Daniels signed with Evangel University, a Christian college in Springfield, Mo. His parents, Skeeter and Shanna Daniels, and brother Tanner were present for the signing which took place in the GHS practice gym on May 8.

During his senior year, Boston had a .268 batting average which included three doubles, a home run and 11 runs scored on 11 hits. His fielding percentage of .973 contributed greatly to the Lions' successful season.

Coach Hunt said of his senior, "Boston has been the heart and soul of this team for the past four years. His energy and enthusiasm on the field is something that will be hard to replace next year.

"This program is honored by his accomplishments and opportunity to play at the next level at Evangel. I want to wish him nothing but the best next year."

Evangel coach Lance Quessenberry echoed the sentiment. "I look forward to Boston being a part of our program next year," he said. Evangel's 20-6 conference record this year won them the Eastern Division title in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
