Highfill Extension Homemakers

The Highfill Extension Homemakers' Club met on October 20 at the Gentry Library meeting room. The monthly meeting was led by President Peggy Dillahunty. Minutes of the September meeting and the current financial standing were approved. We were reminded of upcoming area and county events. The lesson was on "Consumer and Identity Theft" including a quiz on our personal vulnerability. Shirley Philpott showed the members a beautiful quilt top she has been working on, a "Barjello Round." The next meeting will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 17 at the Gentry Library on Main Street, with the topic "Display Collections." Visitors and new members are always welcome.
