TULSA (Okla.) -- The Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa announced Jaime Christensen's promotion from within to director of marketing and public relations.

Christensen, formerly of Gentry and a graduate of Gentry High School, will oversee the Association's advertising, public relations and overall marketing. The scope of this position includes developing, editing and publishing Home Building News member magazine, all event publicity including Greater Tulsa Home & Garden Show, Greater Tulsa Parade of Homes, the annual fundraising gala, and many more. As Director of Marketing and Public Relations, she will manage the Association's website and social media efforts. Christensen will also guide the HBA's Public Relations Committee, as well as the Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to provide support and unlock opportunities for organizations that advance housing-related and education initiatives.

Christensen is a graduate of Northeastern State University and holds a bachelor of business administration in hospitality and tourism management and has been on the fast track since her first day as council coordinator at the HBA. Christensen currently serves on the planning committee for Tulsa's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. She is working toward her certified meeting professional credentials.

"I was pleased to determine that the best person for this role was already within our ranks. Jaime has proven that she has the aptitude and ambition to serve the HBA well as director of marketing and public relations," said Paul Kane, vice president and chief executive officer, Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa.

The Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa is a not-for-profit, professional trade organization that is an advocate for the residential housing and remodeling industry in communities in and around Tulsa and serves approximately 1,000 members.
