GRAVETTE -- Patrons of the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity and Wellness Center enjoyed an autumn party and potluck Friday evening, Oct. 31, at the center. The senior center provided beef stew, and guests brought an array of tasty dishes to add to the serving table for the potluck meal. Many came dressed in costume and everyone voted for the top three favorite disguises.

Several groups of trick or treaters dropped by during the evening and were given bags of treats provided by Mary Kay Kelley, center director, and the center staff. Shutters were snapping as many brought cameras and were recording memories of the evening's events.

After the potluck meal, winners were announced in the costume contest. Jeanne Hubbard took first place in her flowing Geisha girl costume, complete with parasol and flowered fan. She chose a musical wind-up holiday snowman as her prize. B.J. Hayes, dressed as Little Red Riding Hood, and Sandy Steinhaus, dressed as the wicked witch, tied for second place. B.J. received a set of colorful place mats and Sandy was given a warm, fuzzy throw.

Margo Thomas was caller for the bingo games when the tables were cleared, and this proved to be a popular activity. As numbers rang out, winners who called "Bingo!" were able to choose from a table full of attractive prizes. Everyone was given a bag of treats when they headed home.

A Veteran's Day program will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at the Center. The Center will be closed on Tuesday for Veteran's Day.
