Stewart joins ER staff

GRAVETTE -- The Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette has welcomed a new physician to the OCH emergency department with the addition of Kenneth Stewart, DO, FACEP, FAAEM to the hospital staff. Dr. Stewart specializes in emergency medicine and is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine.

The OCH ER now has seven board certified emergency medicine physicians on staff.

Our board certified physicians are here to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care as quickly as possible," said Dr. David Tucker, chief of staff. These professionals work together to provide western Benton County, Missouri and Oklahoma with the best treatment possible."

Dr. Stewart graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, Calif. He completed his residency training at the Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Previous to his employment with OCH, Dr. Stewart worked as an emergency medicine physician at Mercy Hospital in Joplin and Carthage, Mo. Before Dr. Stewart decided on emergency medicine, he was a flight physician through the U.S. Air Force, as well as AeroMed at Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids, Mich. He has more than 20 years experience providing care for adult and pediatric patients with acute illnesses and injuries that require immediate medical attention.
