English students study injustice

GENTRY -- Kendel Grooms of Campbell and Grooms, PLLC, in Little Rock spoke with the English III students at Gentry High School about the Salem Witch Trials, injustice and the current legal system at a special presentation on Nov. 17.

This town-hall style forum was a culmination activity for the students since they just finished reading The Crucible, a true American story of injustice.

Jennifer McMurray's class is also working on creating 48 Hours documentary shows about injustice. Students have learned about the contributing causes of injustice and have selected actual cases of injustice through The Innocence Project to showcase in their 48 Hours documentaries.

The students have been working on this project for almost two months.
