Smith new lending officer for the Bank of Gravett

GRAVETTE -- The Bank of Gravett recently introduced James L. Smith of Bentonville as chief lending officer and market president of the Centerton/Bentonville area office.

Smith brings with him more than 16 years of banking experience and is a graduate of the Graduate Banking School at Colorado.

Smith lives in Bentonville with Cindy, his wife of 25 years, and their two sons, Brendan and Bryce. He was one of the original founders and a former chairman of the NWA Mercy Family YMCA in Rogers and currently serves as an alderman on the Bentonville City Council.

"In my banking career, I've focused primarily on commercial and private banking. It's a rewarding career because I get to help my clients realize their dreams and attain financial goals," he said. "I truly enjoy meeting new people and making our community better by connecting acquaintances who can benefit from one another's line of work or business. Northwest Arkansas is just a great business community and a wonderful place to live."

A native of Neosho, Mo., Smith has traveled internationally to more than 20 countries.

"We always enjoy traveling abroad, but it's nice to return home to Northwest Arkansas, he said. "I love our area bike trail system. Last year I commuted to and from work from May to October, logging over 1,000 miles!"

Smith is a 5-year active duty military police veteran, a local community emergency response team certified member and a member of the Bentonville Church of the Nazarene.

Bank personnel invite everyone to drop by and get acquainted with Smith at the Bank of Gravett Centerton office, just across from McDonald's on Arkansas Highway 102.
