Robert Brooks has been on a short leave and visited briefly with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, this week. He visited briefly with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Wall, as well.

Sam Kerr stopped by the store Friday morning. I had not seen him in years. He and his wife were in the area to take in the arts and crafts fairs.

Those having lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Gabe Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Skylar Carrier, Jessica, Madison, Serenity and me.

Although Bill Habermehl is home from the hospital, he is not doing so well. The family still needs our prayers.

The Hiwasse Store officially opened on Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ron Burns have spent some time at their home in Hiwasse this week.

The craft fairs brought an increase of traffic to our area last weekend.

Oct. 22, 1987, the first volume of the Gutenberg Bible was sold at auction for $5.39 million.
