Decatur National Honor Society inducts four new members

DECATUR -- Four students from the junior class at Decatur High School were inducted into the National Honor Society on Oct. 6 in the library at the school.

In order for these students to be inducted into the society, they must first fulfill requirements in four areas to qualify. These requirements included scholarship, leadership, service and character.

To fulfill these requirements, the candidate must maintain a 3.75 grade point average throughout their freshman and sophomore years; must demonstrate leadership abilities at work, school and community; volunteer his or her services; and show good moral and ethical character.

This year's inductees included Tylor Riddle, Troy Flood, Haley Burdon and Theodore Clements.
